She moved to Los Angeles in 2007, Began film school at Los Angeles Valley college at the age of 55. With her back ground in Broadcast and Advertising she was able to earn a degree in Television and Cinema Directing. Her sister Rita and her began a indie production co., FishGate Productions in 2010 in LA. Her focus has alway been to bring a message of hope to the screen rather it be big or small. Deborah has become an award winning director and Producer by following her passion. "The real award is when you make a film that touches someones life".

Director Statement

The voices that pull at young people today can be devastating. They are trying to find their place in the world and fight the pressures they are faced with. Not every road leads to the right end result.
The young people cast in this film are reaching for their dream, for most of them this is their first experience on camera. I want to encourage them, and allow them to have the experience they need to get to the next level.
